Hi Ian, welcome to the forum
I think the 1.6 models, 16V and the diesel are the only ones that came with a anti-roll bar as standard.
Even so, they don't handle too well until you uprate the springs and dampers.

my mums got a 1.4 cl without roll bars and it rolls and dips all over the shop. ive got a 16v and even with its roll bars, uprated shocks (factory standard on 16v) and bridgestone re720 tyres it still has handling issues.
before i had my polo i had a mk3 1.8cl golf which had crap handling and had no roll bars, after i bought a coil over kit 4 it the handling was stunning. basically wot im sayin is if u get a 1.3 the handling will be pants but put stiffer shocks and springs on and u wont miss having roll bars and it should handle like a dream. venom do a kit for under £200 which im looking into myself, another member on here says he loves them and hes doin a 1.8t conversion in his polo so theyve got to be reasonable decent

depends on tyre choice (get some 195s) and firmness of suspension. You will probably get some scrubage though (although slight)

what are the best tyres for each senario,
ie what tyres would be best on 15" wheels, 195/45
and on 16" wheels, 195/40
would you all agree with that
and what wheels are on that dudes car who is a modorator, and owns the website
WWW.lowdub.com, are they expensive and where can i get some
cheers

Exactly.

They're Ronal R10's. Aka 'Turbo's', wouldn't know where you could get them locally though. They're not even that expensive, but that's a bit relative - I consider PLS wheels expensive, and they retail for >€500. So you won't spend that kind of money on these, fortunately.
HTH!
