What Gearbox oil?

Hi i just wanted to know what oil should be put in my polo gti ETG gearbox ( The grade or name of it)

Erm. No idea
I got my local dealership to change mine for me. Cost £30 all in IIRC!

I also don't know the brand or grade of the oil put in mine, I trusted my garage with that.
I know it's fully synthetic though

75W90 if i remember right. its in the haynes manual

Correct womble. Just try and get a fully synthetic one as it is better for the box!

Castrol SMX-S from halfrauds should do the job quite well!
I have been using it since my gearbox rebuild and it seems ok....Need to stick some new stuff in there now....so will do the same again!

how much will you need for a complete change? is it about 3 litres?

2.7L i believe
