Errrrr, I don't know exactly how to put this, but yes you are correct - all these cars are just Skodas - its just that the Polo and the Ibiza have better interior trim! Which might just be the very reason that the "underneath" parts are designed and manufactured to a very low standard - lots of bits are made for Skoda (and used by VW and Seat) in CZ.

I bought it from my brother who has loads of problems with the front end knocking hes spent loads trying to get it right and the knocking has now returned, if anyone could shed some light or has had similar then would appreciate your comments, i have a feeling it may have been lowered in its time too, it looks low ish at the front but jacked up at the back, i want some 30mm eibachs on it but am a bit nervous until this front end issue is sorted although i know your right. colour pack being fitted next week.

these cars do suffer from front end knocking problems, i have an ibiza of the same platform and have had numerous parts changed.

wishbone bushes, anti roll bar bushes, droplinks are all problems.

even after all thes parts are changed, i still have a knocking, even when i sorted the arb/driveshaft problem. its a never ending story, and sometimes its a case of putting up with it!
