Failed MOT yesterday, not a happy bunny.

essentially i need to new wishbones and two new suspension legs. Plus a new exhaust because he didnt fancy the "loudness" of it.

He was being a picky f****r on alot of things but i did have a feeling theyd flag up the suspension.

So now im riding my bike for like two months.

I dunno how much the suspension legs will cost but, you could get a stock exhaust for £25 wack it on for the MOT and put ur old one back on after. And i think the wishbones with bushes and ball joint only cost about £40 for the pair and they are a doddle to fit, as long as rust hasnt set in too bad

real shame fella, If can fit it yourself then fit scotts one on for the MOT then give it back! Wishbones are about the price mentioned.

yeh i know theyre nto too much. Suspension legs im getting a price on now. Im thinking if they cost too much ill just save up some extra cash and buy a set of coiles. Migth aswell if i can afford it!

Cars gonna be off the road for a while jnow i think. Im looking into buying a 50cc scram for the summer and pottering about on that....

I never imagined id end up on a f*****g moped but there you go lol. Hate the things...

Still the money ill save on insurance and petrol means ill be able to do more to the car and if im nto commuting to great a distance then it should be a very casual summer

aww bless ya. iv never had an MOT falure yet lool. i bort a car which seems to be fine:S they gave me a few of them recomendations last time but dint change lol. if you get a price on the wishbones and stuff let me know yer cus im going to alter mine just cus i feel it makes the car fel better and when i sel it its a good point. cheers pal!

Wishbones each are around £22 easy to replace, but make sure you have the VW lube or grease handy when changing it to help it slide back in. You can do it yourself or get a garage to do it, it won't take more than an hours labour.

Hardcore how do you mean alter your wishbones? You gona try chuck something bigger on there or something lol. Dont think that'd work...

think im gonna have to get a set of philj coilies when i can afford it.

im officially off road now. Gonna cash in me tax disc monday, cancelled insurance this morning. It was up for renewal this month anyway. Just gotta garage the bugger now, which means clearing up the mess that is my 6N2 front bumper lol.

if you put coilies on do you need to change your wishbones?

i was going to buy phillj coilovers, get new wishbones, and pollybushes, and get a grage to fit it all so i can get reciepts for it all so wen i sell the car it looks good. im confused now weather you need to change the wishbones with the philj suspension?? if not ill probs do it anyway for the price. sounds cheap.

nah you shouldnt have to change the wishbones! Cant hurt to get new ones though i guess.

Dont worry about the wishbones. Maybe look at changing the top mounts though
