Just a couple of torx screws, its been done before. Looking for a bit more give in the arches?

That's right, i know how to do it, i just want to know if there's no problem riding without the covers

ah right well I know it's been done before, but I don't know the risks of water damage or anything like that once it's done. I'd like to know though because I may be doing this soon

me 3 as im hopfuly getting my coilies fitted this sunday and wanna remove the inner arches so they dont rub on them. will check it out when i remove it to see if theres any poss of water damage. also wanna paint the drums and calipers black but dunno wat paint to use........

Hammerite tin paint is great. Halfords caliper paint is also good, no need for the hardener.

does it have to be the heat stuff or just normal hammerite direct to rust paint?

Be careful on the drivers side arch liner - the air intake is in here, and itll end up with crap all in your air intake, and all in your auxilliary drive belt.
You should be able to keep the liners for any drop up to 90mm anyhow.

normal hammerite should be alright.
As long as you sand down and clean the calipers before hand, then apply thick coats using a brush.
