6N GTI steering wheel on a 6N2?

Does the steering wheel from a 6N GTI fit 6N2 Polos? I am not talking about the old-style 4-spoke wheels, but something which looks quite like the updated 3-spoke wheel from Lupos and Polos. The only difference I can see is the serial number, which is 6N0 419 091 H instead of 6X0 419 091 on newer wheels. What is even stranger, I tried to search for the 6N0 part in ETKA, but I couldn't find anything.
For the reference, this is the steering wheel from the 6N2. You can see some subtle difference around the mounting point, especially addition of 2 mounting holes near the spline hole. The 6N wheel is missing those, that is why I am asking:
