Any1 else had this problem its the first time iv done a vw lol???


put my main power in and my speaker clip like the two main big black clips, now there is one other blue green and yellow clips and i believe they are my central locking clips but there is nowhere to put it in my head unit, pioneer one i have and strange again it doesnt turn on when i turn my car on like ignition or anything but turns on and stores memory fine by turning it on normaly???

i had this prob if you look in the little hand book you should have it tells you how to reset the remote locking that worked fine for me

My hand book went walk about in the auction, dam pikies stole it and my rear headrets lol!

Any ideas of how it was done m8y???

if the vehicle cannot be opened by pressing the open button, it could be that the code of the key no longer matches that of the control unit in the vehicle. the infrared key must be resynchronized.this take 1 minute.

press either the open button on the key once for 1 second.the vehicle will remin locked.the control unit, however,recognises a valid code

now lock or unlock your veicle using the key

the key bite is recognised as the valid mechanical code. a new code is defined between the key and the control unit. the synchronisation is now complete


there you go m8 this is exactly what the little book say i just copied it hope it helps i know how anoying it is not workin

after reading that twice i get it lol, il have a go if it fails to work il take to vw lol, bloody annoying i was all happy with my new sounds then majour crying session lol

if not my m8 wh o had 1 just left it a coulpe of days and just used the key to unlock it after a coulpe of days it just worked again worth a try before u spend any money on it at vw

Have u left out the blue, green and yellow clip from ur vw head unit out of ur new head unit tho, have just tryed the hold it down for 1 second trick and nothing happened???

yer i think so i just put the normal iso connector in but mines all fine every things work gr8 on mine

Thats the main power black clip and the other black clip is speakers yeah???

My head unit doesnt turn on either with my ignition i have to manually turn it on and off?? u sure about ur multi coloured clips dude???

Silly idea the head unit bein the main code relay for the key!

yer the 2 black ones is all i have plugged in it but if i rmember i had to swap the red and yellow wire on the is over for it to turn off with the ignition and to keep the memory i think any wya or that may have been my old cra its been so long since i put it in lol

yeah il try that the res and yellow trick, il take it into work tomorow and see wot out ice man can think off!! cheers anyway mate!
