Was going to remove my rub-strips very soon, however today i noticed the passenger side rear strip was very loose. Got the hairdryer out to take it off without damage & this is what i found:

Previous owner has obviously scraped the lower part of the door, its been filled (badly) & sprayed. The rub strip covers the filler join beautifully! :x
Will re-apply the rub strip & live with it, how annoying!!!

How about the 6n2 Strips? They're alot thinner and alot more sleeker. Seen quite a few done colour coded and looks pretty good! Could get a set in good nick from the local scrappies pretty cheaply, or from VW stealer's not sure how much they are though.

Putting 6n2 strips on had crossed my mind, just got to see if they are wide enough to cover up the filler line!! :?

6n2 rub strips are clip on im sure, as in they wont just glue on, unless u odify them, well i think they are anyway, maybe someone can clarify this for you, or just get a set of rubstrips of a 6n saloon or estate... theyll have colour coded smaller but sticky back ones... :)
