alrite everybody,
been browsing the bay recently and came across these and had a few questions if you'd be ever so kind to confirm for me
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Borbet-Alloy-Whee ... dZViewItem
first off, would they be alrite with the et at 30?
nummer zwei

do they look worth the money as those "scratches" look more like great big curbage from the pics but not sure?
and will they fit a polo (centre bore etc) because it doesnt mention it in the listing? (maybe polos just aint cool enough to list!!!! some people

)
thanks in advance for your help
terminology might be out or whatever so i do apoligise!!

They look great, but a little too expensive in my opinion. I am broke though....
You could get almost anything for that money
I think they would fit but would I be right in saying you may have a few problems with scrubing calipers or something.
Dunno, someone help him out
Good luck man

id say theyre pretty pricey, and those 'light scratches' are more like the kerb marks ive got on my steelies! i.e. feckin huge.....
keep hunting, or try
www.dubmeister.co.uk loads of wheels on there, reasonable prices i think.....

First wheels will fit straight on, way too overpriced though.
Second set will need adapters to fit on, they're a little wide for a 16" wheel on a 6N2 too.

nice aint they!!! didnt go for it in the end, gonna try dubmeister thanks to randomage, look quite cheap too.
what would be the ideal width for a 16 then? i ask this as i have to do alot of drops to industrial places that have them stupid skinny metal speedbumps and stuff and have to park on a drive thats like 50 degree slope so cant really rock it
i was thinking bigger rim less lowerage would look better??
any advice?

16" is getting on the larger end of the scale for mk5 in my opinion.
The best on a mk5 is 15" by 8" + wide
A drop of at least 50mm or if you cant go too low (know how you feel) then keep it subtle with about 30mm drop
I think thats how you sit pretty
or so i've been told

If you can't go too low, then I'd keep it very OEM looking, so get some really nice OEM 15" RXIIs, or go for the OEM+ with RXII 16"s or even better 16" RXs

.
16X7.5 is probably the largest you want to go, you'll encounter problems otherwise (unless you ok with arch work).
Get 40 profile tyres with 16s also, it's a MUST

cheers for the help everybody!!!!
was thinking about some of them lm reps that where up here a while ago on a group buy, 350 note for a 16 x 7
Tim, think the oem+ look mite be good me thinks, be alrite with arch work if needs be but avoid it if poss. well until i can afford a daily

then the worlds me oyster!!!
dont suppose any bodys got lms on a silver 6n2 and fancy's posting a pic? just so i can get a jist,

sorry to be cheeky, best site in the world by the way!!!
