Saw a gti out of the corner of my eye at my local garage this morning and stupidly went in for a test drive! Now Im hooked and I think I might be spending a lot of money in the next few days!!!

Anyone looking for a semi modified 1.6GL?

lol, i've been wanting to get a one with leathers to settle down with for a few years but stopping myself from driving one! Even showed a mate how good they look and now he desprerately wants one.

Always think, why on earth am I spending so much on modding when I could have a GTI in a year or so if just saved the cash?

Well I'd love yours but I'd quite like a blank canvas! Although I have no idea why yours hasnt been snapped up yet!

I know. I have officially stopped spending on my car and started selling all my other crap so I can splash out on the gti!

I wouldn't mind a complete GTi but need to rid my 16v first :( and probably save £2.5k on top to get a mint Gti with leathers and work already done. The only thing i'd keep are the rims though if was to swap with a GTi.

Im not sure what to do at the moment! Ive got the money but I dunno whether I will need it in the summer! So I might Buy one at the end of summer but then I really want it for the summer! The one I test drove is stupidly overpriced though I think.

From a dealer £4995

50k on the clock
Some of the alloys are bubbling.
Couple of fag burns in the seat
A/C

What do you guys reckon?

He's right though Andy, I know what you mean about a blank canvas - but you'll easily save yourself a few grand!

Mmmm yer but I dont have 5k at the moment! I have like 3 and a half tops! So Im not looking for a fantastic one! Id rather have one that needs a bit of work because I cant not have a car in the swapover time!
