How do you fit the vw cd below the stereo? Any help would be great, fitted the cubby hole today, very easy, looks great, feels great!

You need a prodding tool, screwdriver will do, and you just lift up the tray between the edge of the rectangular slot in the dash carefully until you find where it is located by tabs. Lift out the tabs, sort of bending the tray inwards reallly, and it just pops out. You should find the lead from the HU, pop it in, push the CD in where the tray came out of, and there you are.

I have seen a piece of plastic that seems to be a locating piece, but mine seems ok just by pushing it in.

You just need to be firm, but not brutal when removing the tray.

Where are you? close enough to meet?

Well, the in-dash CD referred to is a VW single slot CD player, what kind of CD holder do you mean?

I don't remember if the leads came from the CD or the HU, but it was fairly obvious at the time. I haven't got any pics...sorry..

whilst fitting handsfree kits for halfords if you place two fingers inside and on the sides then push outwards while pulling the tray just pops out, no need for screwdrivers.
