Hey guys, was just wondering how i would go about finding out what engines would fit a 6n (mines a 1.4 8v) without too many problems. I suppose that any engine from other 6n/6n2's would fit without too many complications. Atm i am only giving it some thought, but found it difficult to find out information. I have used the search and seen some of the engines other people have used, but there is only a few on there, and i assume there must be more than that.

Im sure any engine from 6n and 6n2 polos will swap easily, because nearly all of them are short blocks, the harder engines to fit are the tall block 20v's etc , but anything can be done with money and/or patience

My mate Lee has an audi S3 lump in his 6n

why isnt this gentlemen on the site Josh?????????????????? He bloody well should be so we can all cream over hsi polo.

Any shot block engine will fit with some adjustment. the best conversion is probably the 6N2 GTI i guess but ive always fancied something in the 2.0L mark.

Like amk 3 Golf 16v or something

The common conversion now is the 1.8T in a polo but there are VR6's too, which are far more tricky.

Just about anything is possible, just depends how deep your pockets are!!
