Have noticed that condensation is getting into the head light and beginning to corrode the metal inside. Im wondering if anyone knows if there is a seal around the plastic headlight cover and the body work that may have come loose and needs replacing or if it is simply the plastic covering which has come away from car and would need tightening up?

If anyone has any enlightening knowledge that would be great, so I can clean it up and prevent it happening again.

One of my headlamps was misting up and I found one of the rear plastic cover retaining clips had broken off (they're pretty fragile), so therefore wasn't a snug fit. I bought a new cover from VW (which was about £15 if I remember correctly) and the problem was solved. Could also be the rubber seal around the cover starting to perish. The cover is a little awkward to get on properly, but if you take your time you should be OK.
