Depends on what model you have. Some have a fan-type spray, others have two individual jets.
If they're heated, they're likely to be the fan type.

I think they did the fan type on the "slightly changed" model - was that from 1998 onwards?

You're right on the model changing as of 1998, Dave.
'SOTE' lists 4 different types of jets though, there are two different non-heated, and two heated types to choose from. Not much clarity here eh.

So, just to understand you better;
Are you looking for the fan type? Or are you asking out of curiousity?

Ah right - I believe the heated '6N* *** ***' type is the fan model. That's what mine said in any case - took them out last week. I can double check tomorrow if the number is on the plug (can't take em out again tbh).
SOTE and AKTE are basically the same, but SOTE has SEAT, Skoda and Audi included. It's a bit of creative spelling to keep the VW lawyers of my (and your) back...

just to add:
In the UK it was only the hatchback that ever had the 'fan' washers, (after 1998) (not sure about Europe) if you bought an estate or classic/saloon, they only ever had the two spray washers.

Just thought I'd say mine's got the 'fan' type washers, don't know if they are standard tho.

think your washer jets are heated on the GLX so they had the fan type as well, so did the GL (all years). Not sure about the early CL's
