im looking to get some lowering springs, either the 35mm H+R L.springs or the Eibach 40mm L.springs?

Just wondering if you had any advice, which set i need to get as my car is the 1.4 100bhp sport model?

Is £100 fitting with tracking and everything pretty good?

Any advice is welcome.

Cheers

Yeh i need to lower my car too, just don't know which springs are best. My car-bof friend suggests eibachs 'all the way' but I don't know which ones! There are different ones for different weights on eurocarparts..

Anyway, £100 is pretty good for fitting! Where is that?

Thats a pretty good price. Get it done.

daa, I could always help you, when you choose to do yours. Eibach Pro's I think are the lower ones.

i was going to get Eibach, but know that H+R are just as good aswell and seen the results of kenny's gti and M@Turner and they cars look awesome!!

And i need it as seen outside my Nans house!!

i think i need to get the 831kg and above due to my front axle weight on a 1.4 16v 100bhp

To be honest they're all as good as one another, H&R are more sport = harder. I think H&R are also the lowest?

flyf, you have the tools to lower a car? I'm always scared of the spring coming out and taking my head off lol..

Yeh i'm so so close to getting some springs, but i'm waiting to get paid from work before..!

I have heard H&R are a very harsh ride on the polos, esp. on lo-pro tires.

LoL @ spring taking you out bit . Yes I've got springs compressors etc, doing just springs is going to be a piece of cake.

Get them quick :)

If the H+R springs are abit too harsh, what does anyone else recommend?

Thats what I have heard, most guys on here have H&R springs anyway and they recommend them. I suppose any springs will make it bumpy over rough roads is all.

Mainstream its only H&R and Eibach.

I have the h&r's, they are the lowest. They aren't too hard although I'm used to hard cars and prefer the feel.

don't think it will be a piece of cake, you need a multi spline socket to remove the strut and the allen key hole on the top of the strut is a dodgy size

also to remove the drivers side one you have to drop the ball joint and disconnect the drive shaft (although I did it the dangerous way of putting the spring under full compression and then removing the strut, without disconnecting the drive shaft)

I have the same colour car as you and I've painted the calipers myself.

Think the same colour would be great but I just went for a medium blue and am pleased with the results....

not the best pic, but just to give you an idea....
Somehow the colour difference is more obvious in the photo?! :?
