Its Easy mate.....
Just behind the battery or airfilter in your case.....below the ECU there should be a wee hole where a small wire runs into the inside of the car underneath the dashboard you will able to squeeze the power cable for the amp.......see if you can find it....else i will post few pictures tomorrow!

i'll be having a proper look at it tomorow so some pics will be helpful anyway
is there anywhere where the wire can come into the footwell so it's easy rather than searching behind dash for it?

where the person has said above is in the passenger footwell. I had to drill the hole a bit bigger in order to get the wire through.

just had a look in the bay now and can't see a route i can take, but i'll go from the inside out, then i can see where it pops out. also having the power lead and the sub leads running down the same side wont make that much difference will it? (cba to split them, unless it will really show)

once you get the carpet off from inside you will see straight away where it is. I think it might be the washer jet pipe that uses the hole already.
and yes, you might notice the amp and signal wire going the same path. it really is worth putting the effort in, and to be honest it's not that hard to do both sides.

Alright mate!
Sorry to get back late as was busy at work.....right for the pictures:
Pict1: Inside the Engine Bay, below the ECU. I covered the amp wire with wire cover so thats the reason it looks thick but inside the cover is normal red amp power cable

Pict2: Again inside the engine bay
Pic 3: Inside the car, underneath the passenger footwell

Pic 4: Again Inside the car, underneath the passenger footwell
N.B: No drilling was required
