Hi peeps, just a quick post to say hello.

I am just getting into the whole Volkswagen thing and went to my first show on the weekend at the grand old age of 25 (late starter I know ) which was dubs at the castle in south Wales.

I am returning to university as a mature student soon so unfortunately I will not have the funds to do any extreme modding , but I am still keen to add some subtle touches to my beloved polo (Which is 100% standard at the moment) and go to as many shows and events as possible, The next being volksfest.

So, I will apologise in advance if I bombard the forums with seemingly daft questions regarding basic modding, and any ideas or suggestions regarding some simple starter mods are more than welcome

Im not planning on doing anything to the engine as its a Diesel (1.4 TDI) so i didnt buy it for performance in the first place lol.

Also the interior is pretty tidy as its full leather.

At the moment I just want to make some minor cosmetic changes like a GTi style grill or something, and possibly lower it a little.

those little TDis go well with a re-map just depends on how far you want to go! you lucky bugger with the leather! subdtle is better somtimes less is more! Lower it a little?? surley you want to be in the boundarys of "polo-LOW" this involves being 8mm off the floor lol get some pics up mate im sure most people will be interested!

I was going to go to Dub at the Castle myself, I was sadly not in a fit state to drive on Saturday though, and had work on the Sunday!

You got any pics of your car so I cna keep at eye out for you?

I'm only over in Magor, and regularly drive thorugh to Chepstow

Ill get some pics up as soon as possible (Ill give it a good clean up soon, its a little grubby at the mo ).

I also want to get the alloys refurbished. The previous owner curbed them a little and it spoils the overall look of the car, even though its a standard 1.4 TDI (colour concept).

Its blue, (not sure of the exact shade), but its not metallic, maybe jazz blue?

Tim GTi, I live about 7 miles from Newport. I went to a meet for the first time a few weeks back in Newport at rodney parade, do you go to these meets? If so, ill keep an eye out for your motor

hahah stafford is pretty far dude! closest polos are haris and the dub lot from Leicester. Only been to 1 drop out meet

Hey Richie, cool to see another south walian Was dubs at the castle in town this past Saturday? I knew nothing of it Sainsburys central like at the other end of town on the weekends
