Hi just put my head unit in missus polo but there are no rear speakers!!! where do vw usually put them?????

Can you get the plastic parts with grilles where the parcel shelf sits either side? I like to hide components so it all looks standard! too many sticky fingered nosey little gits out there!

Has anyone has got any ideas or parts i would be intereted in!

The rear speakers are in the rear door cards.

Is it a 3 or a 5 door Polo?

there are no rear speakers in a 3 door polo unless you opted for them as an optional extra, they are in the door card if its a 5 door though

My car seems to have alot of optional extras

Did they just leave the standard door cards but just no speaker in them or blank door cards? (stupid question i know but you never know)

its a 5 door but there are no grilles! i would probabily try to get new rear door cards as i dont like cutting things! if not make pods as dont want 6x9 on show in the shelf! Nothing is ever easy! i have never owned a car without rear speakers! :(

Whoa whoa whoa get some pics up first mate before you go modding etc then we can advise you.

It would probably be much better to install rear speakers than 6x9s

This is the rear door card. ideally i dont want to put 6x9's in would rather keep it all tidy! I hate cutting things in i would rather keep it looking standard! got the remote central locking sorted and now got to fit the pager, but the missus wants the sounds sorted!!![/img]

If you want quality dont get 6x9s!!

Are you confident in making a hole for the speakers?

The door cards are pretty simple to get off

I dont mind cutting things but this would look different to the front! the only thing i did think of was get to a breakers and have a rummage for some rear door cards with the speakers in, failing that my mate works for a vw main stealer so i could maybe chat him up!

Well rear door cards of that spec (non cloth inserts) will be really cheap i would of thought.

Have a word with him

SE spec got rear speakers as standard. I've taken my rear speakers out anyway, no need for them really.

You just dont get the quality compared to other speakers thats all.

Invest in upgrading the currents speakers rather than losing two speakers to connect 6x9s

Just my opinion tho

Or you could buy the full set of 16V 5 door door cards I have sitting in my garage! and the rear speaker mounts for the doors lol!
