Average mpg computer

My average mpg resets if my car sits for a while, e.g. overnight. Is it meant to do that? I'd rather work out my average over like a week rather than by each journey

If you look at the dispaly you will have a "1" or a "2" in the top corner 1 resets after s set time while 2 never resets, press the reset button on the stalk once to switch betewwen the two. Hope that helps

ahh right, I'd always wondered what the difference between the 1 and the 2 were, thanks for that
