mmmm you just bought it, was it a private sale (sold as seen?) garage any Guarantee?

The problem could any number of things to cheap to very expensive, whats the mileage, service history, and condition of car. did you take anyone else with you to look over it, was it smoking, all the levels ok..was the oil clean.

Please try to give as much detail as you can, if you need some quick advice pm me for mobile number,

I used to think this when i first got mine, i just learned to get it in the right gear for acceleration. Maybe not what your experiencing but just thought id mention it.

I replaced my ht leads after 8 months of owning the car and that made a huge difference

private sale, honest guy, etc. car drove fine on test drive. i would have a decent mechanical head on my shoulders (do most of my own servicing and strip and build bikes too)

mileage is 99014, has been well serviced, just went through MOT and had clutch and cambelt at 86k.
No smoking and all levels are fine.

ahh ok, was a bit worried thought you had bought a lemon, but as you know your way around motors shouldn't take you long, prob like you said needs a service, had the same prob a while back on a friends car wet number 3 plug the lead was broken where it fitted into the plug cap, someone had it seems pulled the lead to remove it from the plug.

You currently got any bikes? own a 1944 BMW R75 combo and 1977 Z1000 myself..
