New rims! please help with tires! mi16 induction kit?

Hi, i'm getting some 'new' alloys for my H-reg GT as i recon the hub-cap look is a bit out-dated now. picked up some cheeeeeeap BMW's and need some tire advice:
Currently on 165/65r13
Rims are 14x6 offset 35mm
Tires either 195/45r14 (ok price)
or 185/50r14 (high price)
or 185/55r14 (low price)
its already a bit on the low side (not sure of the drop as came like it) and recon the 45's will make it another 6-7mm lower but this should be ok. What I am worried about is rim chafage (arn't we all). Will the 195's stick out too much?
Also would an induction kit from a 1.9 Mi16 pug fit my little GT? there just filters and hoses right? I have an old one, guess the whole engine is too bit to squeez in...
Any help would be much apreciated!
cheers, Simon
