Omg please help :/
went to work fine this morning everythings fine.
Comes lunch time I get in my car look at the clock and mileage meter....they look like a watch's display when the battery is running out. Turn the car on I get no lights on the dash.
When I indicator or put hazards on i get the Airbag light on, that was normally always on and CBA fixing it.

I also I get no Rev monitor or Speedo or Fuel gauge or how hot the car is running.

Please tell me theres a hidden fust somewhere what might have blown

I had this once on my old Mk4. Went out one night. Got in the next day and dash was mental! It was very stormy that night so I though lightening had struck it. A day later it all went back to normal.???

Hum, well it has been stormy quiet recently, Maybe the weather has got to it. So you think I should jus leave it for a little while, think ill open the windows as well jus incase its damp in there to let the water evporate if theres any in there.

Well that was just my guess, but yeah all did was use it the next day with the dials going crazy, then a day later all was well.

have a look at all the relevant fuses to see if you've burnt any out.

its ok now peeps I sorted it /phew :)

I ended up jus taking the dash out completely then giving the connection a blow and hey presto it works :P

Could of been water shorting out some of the connections, then, as if by magic, they dryed out and now it's all working.

Glad you got it sorted. Looks like could have been the storms then!

lol maybe, but now thats sorted, i went to my local parts place to get a new outter CV joint as im driving there f-ing backbox blows, and possible a spark plug is bunged up with crap lol THis really is the worst day of motoring I have ever had....

CV joint goes -> Dash stops working -> Backbox blows -> Engine missfiring lol

CAN IT GET WORSE!!!!

Thats not a nightmare, just a day dream compared to the worst time i've had with cars!
  • Accident,
    buy new car,
find out need to take out new insurance on it so had 2 policies,
Some t**t causes a parking dent making my flushed bumper break apart,
speeding ticket with 3 points (with the work van),
    idle issues,
    wishbones shot,
2 pedal box failures within 3 days of each other,
    gearbox failure......
Most within a few weeks of each other but all within a single year.
