hi, im experiancing alot of rubbing whenever i go over bumps on my mk5 due to being low at the front and having huge tyres,

can i just remove the plastic liners it keeps rubbing on and it will be fine or does it hold on bumpers etc, i no the splitter screws through it at the ends

cheers

You can take the arch linings out if you want. Your splitter is held in by lots of clips all around the bumper so theres no chance of it coming off.

Alot of people tell that i shouldnt remove mine (gonna remove mine when i have the time), because you get loads of sh!t in your engine bay :S

My friend has removed his and has had that problem at all!

but they rub going around corners and its rather annoying so if i take them out they wont rub and if there is no harm to be done with them out why not?

coz there only plastic mate, it wont affect anything, if it was Metal it would eat away at your tyres, keep the arch lining in and it will get less and less, personaly i would keep them on, will keep any s**t from getting to the places where it isnt supposed to!
