Ok peeps, I know I said I wouldn't spend another penny on the mini dub after the front and backs got scratches, filler falling out etc BUT she kept staring at me with a cute and innocent lil look

Well here she is after a bit of bodywork. Looks good but not happy enough with the back. You can clearly see where the backs been smoothed leaving an outline against the boot. Furthermore, the plate lights been stuck in meaning i'll end up cracking paint or bodywork when I need to replace the bulb. Anywho, I can't really complain with the money I spent. Still needs buffing up so its going back into the garage next week.

Didn't want to take pics till it got buffed up but I couldn't wait. Heres a few snaps I took with a dodgy camera on this crap afternoon whilst the cars still dirty.

Image

All the filler was taken out and done again properly on the front bumper. The guy didn't mind spraying the splitter either for free. Looks good so I won't be getting a gti splitter anymore.

Image

Locks been left and the plate hasn't been positioned on the bumper yet. You can clearly see the hairline around the plate recess area, which is poop :x

Here's a pic of the roof done in mercedes black. The whole car has been turning heads in the one day i've been driving around since I had it back. miss it too after a week of driving a mid-engined RWD car for a whole week 8) (Toyota Previa: Wasn't expecting that was you! )

Opinions?

I cringed when you pulled up on the drive last night, you only had a couple of mm gap between the your lower edge and the cold hard concrete. Wouldn't have gone down to well scratching that up. Showed mine up parked up next to it, gonna have to do something about that now.

I just cringe everytime another car goes near it! Close my eyes and prey lol. You do need to get your car sorted, chuck those rims and get some girth AND get those hidious plates off!!!!

Thanks for helping me out last night, don't want to know what them fault codes mean :?

Bit of an update, I'm on ross-tech's site now:

Release 409.1 through Release 311.2
Works with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, and XP

Release 805.0
for all versions of Windows, from 98 through Vista

Like we thought, there's the problem.

I'm happy with it althoguh I have now placed the plate along the bottom. The only problem is, adhesive pads won't keep it in the centre cos've the inner curve along 16v bumpers. So put it against the bottom edge, which doesn't look nice. Don't really want to use screws which'll ruin a perfectly smooth bumper. Using LED screws would be better but i've already had the light positioned which means if I did, i'll have to more work getting rid of it. :?

Looks absolutely perfect mate, the roof looks spot on! Only thing i would consider adding is maybe smoked/black side repeaters so they don't stand out as much, the rest of the car is so smooth, but i'm just being picky now

Thanks guys, the side repeaters are my 3rd set so i'll just stick to em for the moment.

Didn't know how the black roof would look as I don't think people bother with it on a dragon green polo. However, it does look bloody sweet if I must say myself so it paid off.
