i heard about a way to make my k&n inbox filter to work better and i want to hear what do you think about it:
this is the hose that i want to fit from my inbox to the front grill so it sucks cold air from outside
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-AIR-IN ... enameZWDVW
sounds like a cheap simple mod i wonder i much it will change the throttle responde

Would work just K&N filter wouldn't let air go in the middle of the cone due to there being a metal lid on it, plus the remainder of the cone will just suck warm air in from the engine bay. Could stick with the standard airbox and feed a 60mm cold air pipe directly to it.

i've found this:
that's what i need?
i want to see a picture of a polo with the orginal box with 60mm air pipe
sounds like a way to improve cold air flow to the engine and very cheap also
by the way, what about the MAF sensor?

exactly what i did. except that i had to drill a way bigger hole cause at first i had a k&n style cone airfilter and it wouldn't fit between the plastic wall and the grill. The air filter i'm using now is a mushroom type sponge filter (can get them from simota) which is wider in diameter but flatter and sits perfectly in that space. rain not much of a problem but beware when washing the car. do not use pressurised water jet (aka karcher) in the grill for some obvious reasons

.
Performance well besides the noise well i don't know if its in my head or its real but i feel that the engine has a smoother throttle response. mind you my engine is no where near a performance engine (yet

). just don't expect mind blowing performance.

That's quite an interesting location for your filter flukeone! I may tryout my cold air feed from there.
