just wondering what they do to the club edition polo to get the extra power?

Think it all through the ECU mate, same size of turbo etc. SUre someine on here will know for sure :?

if you're talking about the CUP Edition, the extra power is given from a larger turbo. The normal GTi has a Garret K03-02 and the CUP Edition has a Garret K03-03 from what i know.

Chip tuning the normal GTi will get you to about 200 HP. Doing the same thing to a CUP will get u to 215-220 HP.

Sorry don't mean to sound rude. But can you show some info to back that up. Readplenty of forums in germany and they all say its the tune. Also ithought they were KKK turbos whichare Borg warner right. Please I don't mind being wrong but this isthe first I've heard of a different turbo. And I've only heard of cup polo's bei g tuned to the same as normal gti.

cool i live in Australia whats this tune worth and what exactly does it do ie. boost increase and timing change does this dramatically reduce the longevity of the cars reliability?

i have the info from the mechanics at Nurvil Tuning. The official tuner for VW and only direct importer for ABT parts in Romania. (www.nvt.ro)

this is what they told me. if they lied, or if they have no idea what they are talking about, then this is not true, but being the only official tuner in partnership with VW, i believe them.

before meeting those guys i was also convinced that the only difference was the tune, but it looks like it's not just that.

both cars use the k03s turbo from kkk, not any from garret or otherwise

the extra power is achieved from different software in the cars ecu, not turbo size

this has been done before with the mk3 ibiza cupra being 150 bhp and the cupra r being 180 bhp

BBU, same as the 180bhp Ibiza Cupra

The Polo shares the BJX engine code with the Ibiza FR

Engine code will be different because it leaves the factory with more power and different programming, there could be some hardware differences - dont know cos never seen cup model...

There can be differences in the hardware spec of the 1.8T 150/180 range.... things like injectors and turbo etc....

From what I remember there is more than one version of k03s... but as far as I know its just the actuator that is different...

One things for sure ... neither Polo has ever seen a Garrett Turbo ...lol

Just for interest... some 1.8T 150 are capable of making mucho power... my programmer has made a Beetle with extra 90bhp with no other mods... hehehe ....
