Engine vibrating like crazy at idle and then dissapears when

I have a 2000 1.4 match polo and the engine is vibrating like mad when i am in idle but as soon as i put it into gear, the vibration just disappears. How do i get rid of this vibration? And what is causing this mad vibration from the engine?
