http://vagparts.com/ do the PD160 £65.56+VAT+Postage so not any cheaper than the main dealers
They also come up on ebay from time to time and uk-polos for sale section, sell for about £45 second hand
Personally ive not noticed any gain with the PD160

I re-route how the boost hits the 1st intercooler by using the TT225 chargepipe - this goes around the top of the engine rather than underneath...
so missing the power steering pump... I know what you are saying.... I reckon the kit would fit with a squeeze anyway... but the polished TT225 pipe should look cool and mkae it so much easier...
worse problems are water bottle in the way where the 2nd intercooler will be.. and there is precious little room near the battery to get to the throttle body...
its all good fun....

you think i dont look behind the bumper before i buy ??
dont worry.. chill.. everything is tight under the Polos bonnett...
doesnt mean things cant move... budge over... be removed... lol
secondary air is going in the bin along with whole N249....
so I can make more space.... nothing directly behind my fog ?? certainly nothing filling the whole area...just water bottle to one side ???
Power steering is further back just far enough out of the way...
But heh time will tell... just need time to get it all done...
almost bought a golf Mk5 gti intercooler the other day... they go cheap and are good for 300+ bhp

with the TT intake manifold also easy to fit.... maybe ????

i know you know just was asking LOL, anyway i hope it all goes well, cos £600 for the forge intercooler is steep, i know its worth it, but someone should make a cheaper alternative

not everyone can splash out !! Would forge sell all the pipes minus the intercooler??

whitepolo... yes its just the cost of the Forge fmic that puts me off....
its a great bit of kit and would take no time to fit....
but if you put a little effort in then you can save yourself lots of money..
there are plenty of Golf 1.8T FMIC out there for around £200... sure it will be more difficult to fit .... but with a bit of effort ???
it should be no problem for an AA man ...
time to think out of the box.... ???

jason i love your thinking mate its such a refreshing view on what you normally here on the dub forums. i swear the scene gets a bit too "safe" when it comes to modding. Not saying what your doing is dangerous just saying its fabricated from genious, rather then a retailer lol.
