On here, and the symptons i've got seem a bit difference to everyone else.
Typical signs from what i've read are that when the clutch is being pressed it feel gritty etc and stiff.
But on mine, it feels gritty on the way up and makes a wierd noise?
Am i being a retard and reading things wrong or is this something else?

If your worried about the pedal box, take it down to your garage and ask them to have a look. If you poke your head up in the footwell with a torch you can see where the break normally occurs. they'd be able to tell you the condition of it, and whether or not it needs reinforcing.

My mums boyfriend is a mechanic, i'll get him to check it out.
If it needs reinforcing, is it literally just welding? If so can get it done for free.
The Bite point of the clutch doesn't stay constant either... Any ideas?

Definately the cable. The auto adjuster mustve gone. Unless you have a warped clutch plate.

Not really. Its just a case of releasing the old, removing and refitting the new. Mine needs another new one this week as its sticking arghhh!
Its even in the haynes manual!

I'd agree it's definitely your cable. But it's and idea to get the pedal box checked out too whislt your at it. And yes it's just a case of a weld reinforcement.
