It seems that im not the only GTI, as first thought lol. It looks like we could start our own club!

When i got mine 2 years ago i didnt see another one for ages, first one was in bristol!!!!.
@Mat i think i might have seen yours parked up near hillsboro? it was a black one, any way.

im from up Deepcar, a few of me mates have seat cupras but no VWs!

Id be up for a meet.

unless you have exhaust mods such as a minimum of a high flow downpipe and cat and breathing mods, with improved cooling recommended, i very much doubt he will do stage 2 straight away for you

i know been speaking to j and going to get stage 1 and im going to start the big save for the extra bits for stage 2 all pre turbo intake mods will be sorted in about a week what does the polo gti sound like with a aftermarket exhaust on can someone get a vid up just as i like the original sound dont want a too loud exhaust
what other mods have you got one your beast jeff and what does it handle the extra power like traction issue?

mine spins up if you floor it from the off i feed it gradually for better grip if ya get me then open it up as the turbo winds up! I have a custom cat back with just a back box and they fit the smallest silencer and i wanted it louder, so no it wont go too loud, the cat keeps it quiet!!

yep thurgoland not far at all, its a small world.

Its now a month after the map from J and im still amazed when i boot it, its just so much better, it was worth it just to see the kids face in the clio sport 182 thingy that had a go the other night, i was laughing my head off as i eased away, 1.8Ts rock!!:-)

Im saving for mods at the moment but i need a new bathroom (id rather get brakes coilies and a turbo back but im not allowed!!!!!!) but theyll come in time. im eventually aiming for stage 2 but want it to stop and handle correctly first. Ive got my name down for some of them honey comb grilles, why they dint fit them from starters i dont know, they look so much better.

yep we like to keep it local around here lol, so every one says any way. i cant believe i haven`t seen your red gti which used to live less than 2 miles away. Ill look out for ya around town, mines got german plates/surrounds and sometimes surfboards on the roof.

J im still getting on at my uncle to get his mk 5 gti mapped. maybe i need to race him :-) then he`ll realise what he`s missing out on. let me know the feedback you get off the guys at the weekend, cheers.

Shall we arrange a Sheffield meet then folks?

Its getting pretty cold and miserable weather now so reckon the sooner the better!

I'm free pretty much every weekend and generally most people are free then too, so we need to decide a date, time and venue! Anybody want to start with suggestions?
