help!

remote cable from the head unit to the amp... whats supposed to be attatched at each end?
because mines just wire!

like a flat piece of metal that curls over on each end?

Yeh there's a few different connectors you can use. Crimp connectors are like little hooks, and you crimp the conncetor and wire together.

but now on my amp theres and + and - right and + and - right which do i use to connect the sub to the amp?

if your only using one sub then it wont matter

just make sure the sub cables wont be touching in any way otherwise it will spark at you :wink:

Sounds like you've got a 2 channel. It should be bridgable (most amps are), meaning you use one positive from one channel, and a negative from the other channel. It's best to use this function for a Sub.

right sorted this now however when i connect the battery and the amp comes on, i get like a pluse through the sub even when nothings playing..
any idea how to stop this?

What like constantly? Or is it just when you turn the car on, and it makes a thud?

constantly tim., the wires are all routed seperatly so it cant be that..
when i connect the power its pulses and when i turn the engine on it pules faster..
any ideas?

hmm that's a little strange. I can't think of anything it can be without doing research. have you checked that the remote cable is properly connected to the correct places on the amp and headunit? Checked it's a safe ground and checked the live wire is good? They all must be properly crimped and secured in place. not just bare wire twisted into positions.

right this is sort of sorted now..
however when i turn the power input up on the amp from 6V to the higher setting it happens.. what should it be set on?
