mp3 connectivity for my standard polo cd player

i have a 05 plate polo and the Standard deck looks really nice but i want to connect my mp3 player to it as the deck only plays normall cd's what shall i do any ideas where i can get cheap connectivity for mp3 players or a standard mp3 deck for polo

Buy a Griffins iTrip. You can get them off e bay. Make sure its the genuine Griffin one tho :wink:

The sound quality with fm transmitters is poor.

Have a look at the MP3 Xcarlink. See my post below about it. You can put songs on a memory card / usb pen drive and play them via the standard headunit. It aslo lets you connect a mp3 player but you wont be able to control it via the headunit so it is better to just put them on a pen drive.

If you must use your current mp3 player the below option is cheaper. It will let you add a line in to the standard head unit.

thats sounds like a good idea the Xcarlink thing sounds really good but cnt afford it at momnet where would the unit acctually sit?? and do i need to have a CD changer??
the AUX adaptor sounds good kinda cheeap too

I put the Xcarlink in the glovebox. See the pictures in my thread. No you dont need a cd changer.

I'm baffled to see how you can keep your CD changer. I'm looking at the pics and it looks like your unplugging the CD changer and plugging this in ???

Can you shed any light on this?

You remove the cd changer plug and plug the Xcarlink in to the cd changer port on the back of the stereo. In the Xcarlink wiring loom there is a socket for the cd changer that you plug your original cd changer into.
