Does the revs play around like its about to cut out IF it doesn't die straight away?

If so then search 'irratic revs' which is the cause when its linked with the clutch. There's plenty things you'll need to check so its a bit long trying to find out what's wrong.

You may find during colder days it would happen and on hot days it never does it!

In the past its happened to me at 70mph and I lost brakes and steering so be weary of that whilst driving and dipping the clutch coming to a stop!

normally what happen is when come to a halt and pressing clutch, the veh revs go down and back up to idle but sometimes to goes down and cuts out.

Doesnt happen when driving in gear with foot down.

Then its defo the 'irratic revs' syndrome!

Could be throttle needs cleaning or alignment, dizzy and leads, plugs, temp sendor, idle control valve etc.
