if i took the carpet out of my car and put it in a big inflatable swimming bath full of black dye, would it die the carpet properly and would it look good??

Surely new carpets would be cheaper than a paddling pool of black dye...

What colour are your carpets already?

Why not just get either a new one, or glue on a new cloth on your old one, doesn't cost that much and woudl give good result, planning to do this myself this winter

they are a dingy grey, but i found a special car carpet dye kit, whey you sponge it on or spray it on.

i was looking at new ones but dont know where to start as i couldnt find ones for polos that can be made. all i found were ones for golfs luppos,

would normal black cloth do it, as in cover the grey properly??

or has any one dyed there carpets???

which do you think the best methods is??

i swapped the carpet in mine with a dark carpet out another polo
i found in the scrappy.i had a good look round and found one that
was in pretty good nic and bone dry.still gave it a mighty shampoo
session when i got home though

i got mine out another mk4 mate.the dark carpet in the 6N2 looks pretty much the same as the one i got.maybe a different shade but thats about it

Don't dye it mate. Your asking for trouble. It's hard to get a solid even coat, it smells and over time it'll wear off.

dont think ill be dying it anymore mate, ill just keep my eye out at the scrappys
