Well i'm thinking of going with VAGCHECK for a stage 2 remap as they said i could get roughly 15bhp more out of the engine. However they did say i could get more if i had a bigger throttle body. So was wondering is it possible to fit the throttle body from a GTI onto a 1.4SE 16v? Are the throttle body on a GTI bigger?

No point, get some throttle bodies then map it, iam looking into doing this i have some throttle bodyies from a Honda Blackbird 1100cc Multipoint fuel injection each port is 42mm hopefully to go on, we shall see what other work is involved like fabricating an inlet etc, but just mapping a NA car is pointless unless heavy mods have been made

Yeh that what i was planning to do get a new throttle body, but i dont know one that will fit directly on to my polo. Do you know if the throttle body on a GTI is bigger than the one on a 1.4se 16v, cuz i can get one off a gti but dont know if its going to be bigger or not.

Also what going to be the best size to go for on a throttle body?

No, listen to what i put mate, DO NOT put a Gti throttle body, well you can but i dont no if it will fit, just get some motor bike throttle bodies then map it!

LOL i dnt really want to bother with fabricating parts etc. When will you have your throttle bodies fitted?

iam not sure mate, gotta see what parts i will need first, iam still learning things as i go along LOL but if someone can feed us some light on to weather making the 1.4 16v engine can be made abit more power from like NFS said using the 1.6 gti throttle body, head, bottom end etc?

Bepe what kind of throttle body does the 1.4 16v have? i.e. fly by wire etc. Also have you tried to fit any other throttle bodies on the polo other than the ones off a bike?

yeah its fly by wire mate, all electronic crap! havent tried anything else, would be nice to no what others would fit though, iam reseraching into this though
