I had the chance to buy it. But it was advertised as a 6N part, possibly compatible with a 6N2, wish I'd taken that chance now!

haha well gutted... well by the looks of it im going to have to be shelfless too i saw something advertised on gumtree which sounded like it but for a 6n im going to give him a call to check what it is

tim you got the part number for it??
i might be able 2 get you one as i know a chap who works for vw head parts office! If any are about he be able 2 find them!

Was listed on Club Polo too, but as 6N & 6N2

I haven't unfortunately no. I ask Howard before but he said there wasn't anything on there.
