Hi I was wondering whether any one new owt about defective chokes. my vw will only run when the choke flap is closed almost all the way. it does not seam to close at all when the car is running and has to be pushed closed. I dont know a great deal about carbs, is this normal?

no its noit normal as far as im aware. jus sounds like a sticky choke. clean it up bit of lube see how it goes.
