got these from noodlez_polo the other day, I've tinted them to match the colour of the car better. can't decide if I like them or not (I still want the clear led hella ones my girlfriend has.... it's in the background!)

Yep, I think they're nice mate...
Better than clear imho...
I had the Hella "Magic Black" ones on my old black polo and they looked proper bo.

Don't really care for rear lights to be totally honest. But, you have to go with what _you_ think looks right.

They look ok but I prefer the standard 16V lights or possibly some all red mk5 ones.

The problem with the 16v rear lights is that they look brown!
Granted, they look a lot better than the normal 8v 6n lights, but they're still brown!
I say go speedlaw's route and get GTi (all red) rears, or Hella Magic ones like above.
Black for black cars
Blue for blue cars
Green for light-green cars
TBH, I'm not a fan of the clear ones, but that's coming from someone who tried Lexus ones on (

)
David, I'm sticking with what I said... I think they go well with your car.
You just need to shorten your antenna, delock and colour code your door handles, remove your rubbing strips and lower her... lol

true, very true. once i decide i am keepin her for a couple of years (long story) then lots is planned.
OK - delock = get rear door handles. which means fitting a decent cat 1 alarm with central locking on the remote (which i am gonna do anyway). colour coding is a case of me painting em (anything special to note here?). rubbing strips is another quickie, as is the antenna - however, the reception seems pretty poor as it is and the shorter antenna's are even worse (or ones I have tried have been)?
what do the magic black ones look like?
I'm saving up for lowering - I've got the feeling that I need to get a complete kit and not just springs....
cheers for the response tho - they are growing on me.

Josh you're right about the 16V lights, in some light they do look very brown

.
I have had normal 8V lights on mine and I think they look ok on a red car.
@David, if you are going to lower it, definately save up the extra cash and go for a full suspension kit rather than just springs.

i got a shorter antenna from halfords for about £12 with anti theft screw and the reception is exactly the same.
and i know how u feel about the lights. wen i look at them i like them but still have that unsure feeling. im like that with my badgeless grill 2, one week its on next week its back to standard. shame the clips on it arent as good as the VW ones. ive snapped 2 already

Mate, you don't need to buy another antenna, just shorten your original one!
I'm sure there's a how-to guide on the DIY section.
