Ok ok,

Iv had my 6n2 since August and all I have done to it is fit an Alpine CDE-9802RB Fascia and got a set of Focal Polyglass 165 V Slim Speakers.

I had to get the slimline ones because as I’m sure you all know, some genius decided to put the side impact bars behind the speaker holding!

Ok so that cost me 350, I know I was ripped off!

Anyway, mine is the red one, is it flash red? Not too sure. Here is a list of what I want doing.

Alloys (my polo currently has one wheel trim and 3 black steel rims! Sweet!

Suspension (full set, dampers and the like. Not just springs)

Rear Spoiler

Mesh front grill.

And that’s it I suppose, I don’t wanna go any lower than 40mm.

Iv got about 1800 quid to spend but to be honest id rather spend as little as possible lol!

Oh I also wanna amp up my speakers.

So come one you smashing people with your wealth of knowledge, give me your advice lol!

Also any other suggestions would be great.

Thanks & look forward to your replies.

Ash

ello mate, soz haven't replyed earlier, right, most companes do spring and damper kits for the mk5, my bro's mk5 is on spax lowering springs n standard dampers, gives a nice ride, handles well, n looks great (35mm drop, quite subtle) n e way, these were reasonably cheap, that is if ur trying to save money!

alloys, now u don't want to limp out on alloys, alot of peeps go for the GTI bbs rims which are very nice n look good, however they are expensive for wot they are, be unique n go for something different, my bro has got 15" alloys on his n they look real smart, but if ya want it to stand out a bit more, go for 17's! they look great, but of course u do loose a bit of ride comfort, plus u will have to be a bit more picky with ur suspension to get the right look!

as spoilers go, there aren't alot for the mk5, there is the veedub one which to be honest, looks a bit standard! so no help there!

n finally i haven't got a clue bout speakers, have to get someone else onto that!

hope thats of some help

right i'll try n help ye' as im feeling generous
right get sum alloys first obviously a personal preference but if you plan to go low dont get mahoosive alloys like 17's or 18's, go for 15's n 16's if your going -50mm or more, but if you only wanna go -40mm then 17's shub be good
to make it look lower fit front splitter (a gti one perhaps)
and rear apron and side skirts
errm de-badge the front grille, or go for a kamei one, if you want it looking mean!
stick with the red one, cos you can use the money you've saved to modify it, instead of buying one just for a colour change.
get sum clear rear lights aswell, cos clear and red go well together, i've seen red cars with smoked lights and thought.... hmmmm not to sure
anyway get sum piccies up and we can have a ganders at the steel hubs
we all have to start sumwhere dont we
