GTI Dampers

I have been doing a bit of research over the past couple of weeks into lowering my 9n3.
I am considering my options at the moment, one of which is fitting GTI dampers to my 1.2. I have seen a few car on polo9n.info who have fitted GTI dampers along with aftermarket springs. The dampers seem to lower the car more evenly on lowering springs than the stock dampers do.
This guy has done it http://www.polo9n.info/polo-2427.html
Would anyone know if the GTI suspension set-up is a direct fit for non-GTI models?
And if I were able to fit them would I have to use springs designed for a GTI or non-GTI?
e.g these http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/hr-35mm ... p-684.html
or these http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/hr-35mm ... p-683.html
Any help or suggestions much appreciated.
