Been parking at uni for the last 2 years with no problems, and just noticed 2 nice long dents on the nearside front wing.. it had red marks with scratches so I think it was the local bus.

hurts.
(will post a pic up tomorrow morning)
Managed to polish out the scratches with some rubbing compound and mer polish..
Anyway, I think the best thing to do is to replace the wing, but got 2 quick questions if anyone knows the answer to them!
What do you think of this?

And what do you think is the cheapest way to paint it?
Cheers

I park in two spaces were necessary. I may be hated for it, but it needs to be done. You just can't trust everyone these days it's ridiculous.
HHhhmm t's not genuine is it? It may have problems with no fitting 100%

the wing is ok on ebay but the problem is it is a pattern part not genuine so you actually get some defects on that new part and sometimes they can be a t**t to juggle around to get to line up correctly
it wont cost much to get a bodyshop to spray a wing if your going to fit it yourself just make sure they get a good colour match
sorry to hear about the damage mate

Agreed there. Id always go genuine on body parts - purely for quality of build, and the guarantee that backs them.
I park in two spaces to - i get abuse thrown at me by the GF if she is in the car though!!

What do you mean park in two spaces? . . . like park on the middle separation line of two spaces?

you could either have your wing filled and then sprayed but that sometimes doesnt have a nice enough finish or you could buy that wing off ebay but as its a copy part you mite have trouble alligning it up, also i noticed the spray doesnt stay on as well as it does on the original parts, but then again depends on the job. or you could get an original wing from a scrap yard there about 30 35 quid i think, that would fit nicely and align up, would just need a good spray job..

Aye, or a corner space where you have more than the average to stay in one corner so a fully open door wouldn't touch you. That's what I aim for.

Thanks for the head up guys

I think I'll go ask VW how much the part will be. Anyone know the code? Plus I was looking at the sellers feedback, he's had a few VW parts come back for non-fitting.
Was about to go out and take a pic, but the car is covered in snow, so I'll wait
The only thing is, the two dents are so light, it's probably easier to fill up. Plus the car is on 'solutions' from VW, so when I give it back to swap for a Scirocco (

) next january, will they care massively about the dent, or will they fine me to the grave?
