Ive got my subs sorted and also my 6x9s but im just wondering wat size the door speakers are and also the ones in the dash board or are they just tweeters.

Im getting a FLI system all round and a local company is fitting them.

Should have just got a sub and new door speakers. At the moment I've got powerful 6x9s and good door speakers but you just can't hear the door speakers as the 6x9s drown them out and it just doesn't sound good at all so I'm selling my 6x9s and getting a sub instead.

The door speakers are 6.5". Just tweeters in the dashboard, I took them out and cut holes in my door cards and put the tweeters that came with my door speakers in there.

^^^ not a bad idea, might do that myself if i ever get round to upgrading my sound!

A Fli systeem, each to there own, if your into sounds they wont cut it, i baught mine as a cheap option as i was sold my polo without speakers and they broke in like 2days

Ive currently got sony explodes running in the front and not had a problem with them.

Would rather bump than start a new thread.

So.. in a 6n what are the speakers?

Tweeters on dash and 6" in the front door cards.

What about the ones in the rear?

And how do you remove the panels covering the front speakers?

And finally, where do you guys recommend putting a sub, in the boot a la www.barryboys.com!?! Haha!!

yes mate the front door speakers are 6.5" i have a set for sale for £15 if u want them bud? they are JBL all you need to do is take off the clip on the standard speakers and replace them with spade connectors.

Tweeters are small treble speakers which run along side mid speakers such as the 6.5" ones found in the front of your car.

The fronts and backs in a 6N will be 6.5" coxials, which are a mid and treble speaker combined. I'm not clued up on all the 6N lines but I'm guessing some also have tweeters in the front, which would make them a component set.

That headunit is pretty bottom of the market, but you get what you pay for. It'll do the job of playing music and radio.

And yes, most logical place to put a subwoofer would be in the boot.
