Hello fokes!
ive been on the hunt for some volkswagen racing parts for my gti build im doing at the moment!
anyway my hunt has lead me 2 a chap in south africa (there that rare!)who has 2!
no he is breaking one so since i will be shipping lots of stuff over from him i was wondering if any1 else has been looking for bits??
Im having the kit and maby the brakes and suspention (depending how badly my miss's stings me this xmas! lol)

what part are you looking for??
i do have a copy of the s1600 build manual showing all the trick parts that when in to them but its in a folder not a digy copy!
if i can track down alex or tim im sure one of them will have it on disk!

I'm not too clued up on the S1600, but I've got a PDF file of the additional parts list for the 6N2 Group N rally cars if that's any use?

Nah the one I've got is 6N2 specific. and about 80 pages long. It's also mainly in German which of course helps.
If anyone wants it give me your email address and I'll forward it on!

That polo well aint a 6n2 like our gti's!
Or am i bein tricked lol!
Does it use the same engine as ours and a newer model body shell and completly different chassis; looks nothing like our car!

no that link that has been posted is the 9n s1600 car! nothing 2 do with what im talking about!
vwr did a s1600 6n2 and a group n rally 6n2
im led 2 belive they(s1600, group n) share alot of the same parts (suspention, gearboxes, engines, widearch kit etc) just set up differently and restricted on what electronic gubbins they could use!
if tim sends me the group n catalog ill have a look and compare some part numbers!

yer they do but mate but they also have 5k new worth of gearbox (do u think vwr new that the standard vw box would be a problem
?)

I'm pretty sure there is a sequential gearbox for the GTi, there was a link on here for it from KamRacing? cost around 5k, can't remember whether it was a seq box or not though.
