amyone had any problems with their headlights before?

main beams are not coming on on both headlights both happened at exactly the same time as soon as i turned them on tonight

sidelights still work as norm

full beam still works as normal

fogs still work as normal

just cant get main beams on

just dont seem likely that both bulbs go at exactly the same time anyone got any other ideas ?

going to phone vw in morning just wanteed to know if there has been any problems with anyone elses headlights

have you checked the bulbs, or the fuse for the dip beams, could have been a power surge thats blown the bulbs or fuse

not had time to check yet i will do when i get back from work it was pitch black when they went so had no joy there last night couldnt see a thing

checked fuses and they are all alright

not had time to chack bulbs i am very doubtfull it is the bulbs as they came on then driverside went out so i turned lights off and on and then no lights at all

anyone any ideas?

If not fuses, then start with the cheapest....bulbs.
If not, then the switch?

How old is the car oliverpologti ?
