I know a lot of you have attached with tape or velcro but i'm quite worried of them being ripped of. I know people that it has happend to. So just wondered if there were any other options before I decide to drill holes into them and mount them as you do standard plates. Any help/advice would be appreciated, cheers

What about a set of the 'snap' together german style plate surrounds? If your still bothered over them being taken if you had them, then glue the outer trim on for extra safety!

So do the surrounds attach via the screws then and the plates sit inside them?

Yep, if you buy the decent german style ones off dubmeister etc. :D Cheap surrounds that screw thru' plate are rubbish!

Yeah thats whate i've decided tim. Will look much better than screwing them on. Got some 3m tape and halfords numberplate pads (which look like 3m tape). Heard its pretty strong stuff. My badge hasn't fallen off yet

Cheers for that mate but tried that and still no good. Stuck to the bodywork but not the plates. Especially the front due to the curve ,so screwed them on. Doesn't look as bad as i thought though.
