Disconnect battery... wait half an hour...
Then use two long straight tools to poke from the back of the steering wheel and pop the centre of the wheel off..... Unplug the airbag unit and carefully put it asside....
undo the nut in the centre of the wheel... but leave it done up 3 turns...
Then pull the steering wheel towards you with gentle taps.... once its free, undo the nut completely and remove...
DO NOT connect the battery back to the car until the airbag is plugged back in properly!

Am bumpig this rather than starting a new thread.
I went to the scrap yard today, saw an MK4 with a nice steering wheel with an airbag on it.
Battery had already been removed from it.
What tools shall I take do you think?
Plus, does anyone have piccies of how to do this?
Thanksss...
