Problems after a service

Hello
I just had a service on my '96 Polo (I love her). Oil flush, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, fuel system addative etc. Engine seems to be running well, but....
Before it went in I had the usual stalling at lights when the revs drop, I didn't mention it to the garage as I was going to just clean throttle body, but I did get them to quote for a temp sender as the temperature is also cold when the car is moving but goes back to 90 degrees (slowly) when stopped.
Now the idling rate on the car is something like 1,500 instead of the previous 900, it also seems to be keeping the revs up when the clutch goes in when I'm changing gear. Is this something to do with the new stuff that will die down in the next day or so, or do I need a VAG COM reset, get the temp sensor as it's been upset by the service or just go and kick the mechcanics when they are open on Monday?
Opinions will be valued, although I do also fancy kicking the mechcanics on Monday
