Im replacing my disc's and looking at black diamond grooved. Only thing is i would like to know is, the solid disc is 10mm and the vented one is 18mm. Would this cause any problems when fitting?

You referring to the width now? (they're skinny discs!)
8mm extra may cause a problem, the piston may not have enough play and your brakes may stick on. Then again, they may not and it may greatly aid your braking!

Yeah that is what i thought. I will check what size they are this weekend then i will get a better idea. Was thinking about getting brakes of a gti polo.

Look at your current discs and if they are vented then its the wider ones you need.
I've had a set of Black Diamonds on my valver for 2yrs now with the same Predator pads which are still biting strong
Mine are vented, (as all valvers) drilled and grooved so if they're really cold they do squeek and bite harshly. Once upto temp they're perfect and highly recommended for the budget you blow on them

Mine are solid so im guessing that is what im gonna have to get. But what i dont understand is, what is the vin number? On europeperformance when i look at solid disc's for 1.6 it has a vin number. 087410 is the vin it gives me. Is there somewhere i can check this against my car?

The VIN is your Vehicle Identification Number ie the chassis number. Just look it up as you'd find it on a service book or the engine bay in your motor.
