Hello everyone, new member from Sweden here (I'll try to manage the language as good as I can)
I have been looking around on the forum for som info on the ATS Classics for my 6N 1.6, all I've managed to get is a few pics and a few loose threads. I have found a set of 13x8" all around for quite a bargain and have now gotten interested in them. So I have got a few questions
I've understood that it could cause som problems with 13" rims on the 6N since the brakes might not have enough room. Mine is not a valver and have got the 239mm brakedics, so that shouldn't be a problem?
13x8" with et0 will make them poke out some bit, they are fitted with 165/55, so theres stretch

but will they fit?
Cheers

13" rims should be fine, the stock steelies (in the UK at least) are 13", and plenty of people have put classics on without a problem

as for tyre sizes, im as new to that area as you are...

Yeh you should be fine mate, however if you do bump into to problems, look at getting some spacers to clear the wheels from the brakes.

I've just put my classics on! only 7j's though! 8mm spacers on the front for caliper clearance. your minimum is 6mm. And i'm running 165/55 rubber. Nice stretch!

Yeah looks awesome
what is the original et on those? can make some calculations with the ones im interested in

and aproximately how low are you, looks lika a goos stance to me

and is the ground clearance much of a problem? I understand that its not stock suv-height, driven lowered cars before, but 13s are kinda extreme

Cheers mate.
Info! for what you want.
ET - 8x13 are 0 and then you will need a minimum of a 6mm spacer on the front so it will be -6 on the front minimum. The rears will stay ET 0.
Height, well you will not be able to be fully down due to the wheels sticking out the arch it will rub on the arches. 80mm all around max i think.
Tyres you're better off running 175/50's dunlops! some nice stretch.
My height - im down the full 120. Road humps and unlevel ground is a problem. my bottom arm is aprox 2" odd the floor. and my cills catch too.
My Et - front is ET 20 but then you add 8mm spacers so their ET 12. and the rears are ET 20
Hope this helps!

Thanx for being so helpful
as I said earlier, the tyres are 165/55 so the stretch will probably not be a problem

according to my calculations the rims will poke out some 2,5-3 cm more that yours, depending on spacers etc.
found this guy on some forum (maybe this one) who at least had 8" at the back
as you can see the arch doesn't swallow the wheel, but those tyres are 195/45, so I dont think that would be a problem witch a proper amount of stretch, its mainly the front i'm worried about, especially when I might need a spacer, if someone have seen a polo with 13x8 or 14x8 with an et around 0 up front, i would appriciate some pictures

hmm most polos ive seen are do 7x13 front and 8x13 on the rear. Mini superlites have anb et or -7 standard.. and then you have to have a minimum of a 9mm spacer i think for the caliper. I've a photo somehwere. i think they was 8x13. he had no problems with catching or turning.

I don't think you can get classics bigger than an 8? They're just spaced out at the back. As Rob said you'll need spacers to clear the Calipers, so spacers up front is inevitable!
Here's some 13" wellers:
I'm guessing they are 8j wide, but I can't find out the ET sorry as the weller site is currently down!
