I recently changed my radiator fan because it stopped working. Once i installed the new one, when ever it turns on it seems to be running on top speed for some reason. This gets really annoying as it makes the whole car shake!! Does ne1 know why it is doing this or how to stop it?

Is it an OE part or just a replacement? There are a few different variations on these fans
What is your engine? Do you know the engine code?

Its a OE replacement bought from GSF. Engine code is AUA.

Hmm it sounds like your fan switch in the radiator isnt working. That would cause it to run at full speed as its a two speed fan controlled by that switch.

Is there a way of finding out if it is the switch on the fan (diagnostics or sumfin), because i bought this brand new from GSF.

There is no switch on the fan. The fan is switched on and off by a thermal switch which is bolted into the radiator bud.

Put in the new radiator fan yesterday and still the same problem. Whenever the fan starts its always spinning on full speed shaking the whole car! Even when the car is moving the fan comes on at full speed! I have no idea wat else can it be as ive now changed the fan and the radiator themometer but still no luck. Any1 no what else it can be?
